The 2008 Scarecrow Festival was an outstanding success, with more visitors than ever. It is thought that around 3,500 people of all ages came to the festival.
 

Around £3,000 has been raised which will primarily be used for new freezers and other equipment and the future move to new premises.

The Quiz on the Scarecrow theme of Songs was a little more difficult than previous years and of the 160 adult quiz sheets returned only one was 100% correct! - with a further 9 with only one error in naming the 54 scarecrows.
